I re-entered Thailand via Poipet, the main border crossing between Cambodia and Thailand. And I had no choice, as I had selected it as the departure point of my vehicle, as one must do when entering Cambodia.
Crossing the border was fast and easy, took less than 1 hour, went through immigration then customs, shared my registration, DL, IDP, passport, filled in the necessary forms (I did not have a Carnet, as it is not required for a Singapore-registered bike). I got 30 days for my bike, and 30 days for myself.
You are required to have insurance for your international vehicle in Thailand. Near the border I found a local agent, bought 3 months of coverage for 165 baht. Honestly, this seemed ridiculously cheap, and the staff could not explain details in English, nor could I read the policy that was all in Thai - but I had insurance, as required.
After starting the day in Siem Reap, I then proceeded from the border towards Koh Chang, with an overnight stay along the way.
