Ready to roll. Got the Mosko Moto Reckless 80 v2 rackless luggage system configured on the BMW 310gs. Laid out everything I was planning to take, and did a test pack.
One (major) last-minute discovery was that, for Thailand entry, I needed a stamped registration record from the LTA, Singapore's version of the DMV. Drove over, then discovered I needed an appointment. But, fortunately, they arranged a quick booking time for me, and I got the form done (see sample below).
In the waning hours, I also learned I am supposed to acquire a similar document from the Laos embassy in Singapore, in order to enter Laos. No time for that one, planning to try and get while traveling or hopefully wing it at the border.
Before leaving, wanted to get the bike (sorry, no ridiculous name for it....yet...) to Performance Motors, the BMW Motorrad dealer in Singapore, for its 30,000 km service, but I couldn't time it in. Aiming to do it in Malaysia (more to follow).
Everything was ready to cross to Malaysia at Woodlands, which was fairly "meh" as I had already crossed there four times this year, since the border opened, post-Covid..
Oddly, the night before I departed, Guoco Tower, Singapore's tallest building and my long-time neighbor (Sir James Dyson owned the penthouse condo), had some kind of devil horn thing going (see below). Farewell Singapore!
