Once the Singapore-Malaysia border re-opened in April 2022, my first trip was a ride to Mersing and ferry to Tioman. Did this trip 4x in 2022, with my dive gear strapped to my bike, a 3 hour ride and 90 minute boat. Did about 40 dives with B&J Diving, and stayed mostly at ABC Resort - both exceptional. Before I went to Tioman, I was told the diving there is not great, but I was super happy with it, very good IMO. Overall, the ABC area of Tioman has a great island vibe, fair value, awesome community, and good diving.
